Welcome to our vacation log cabin in beautiful Brown County, Indiana—one of southern Indiana's most spectacular vacation locations. There's so much to see and do when you come to Brown County. Enjoy the rich culture of Nashville's artist colony, shops and shows, or absorb the peaceful tranquility of Brown County's rolling hills and scenic views. No matter the season, take time for yourself and enjoy beauty that will take your breath away.

Grandma Barnes Cabin is located just 3-1/2 miles from Nashville, Indiana, and close to Bean Blossom, Indiana, between Columbus and Bloomington. This private hideaway has all the comforts of a modern home while retaining its Brown County aura of rusticity. The cabin has a bright, comfortable kitchen with dining area. The large screened-in porch provides ample opportunity for bird and deer watching or just relaxing. A backyard patio, barbeque grill and picnic table complete this romantic picture.

The original cabin, built in 1949, sits on a four-acre wooded hillside. We added an 1859 cabin to the original to create a delightful and secluded one bedroom, one bath retreat. This cabin accommodates up to four guests with one queen-sized bed and an inflatable queen mattress. Your pet is also welcome here.

Important Notice to Guests

This cabin is sometimes inaccessible during winter months. For reservation dates from January 1 through mid-March, we reserve the right to cancel your your reservation on short notice based on weather conditions. If WE cancel your reservation due to weather, you can re-book your stay at any future time this year at our low winter rate.

Regardless of the time of year, if you are staying at Grandma Barnes Cabin it is advantageous to arrive in a four-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive or at a minimum a front-wheel drive vehicle due to the steep gravel driveway to the cabin.
